NSW MSC Sports Day
The Wollongong University Sports Team did themselves very proud at this years NSW Medical Schools Council (MSC) Sports Day hosted by Western Sydney University.
The team of 20 UOW students presented themselves with poise, sportsmanship and had many a laugh during the full day of sport. The team made 3 finals coming 1st in netball and basketball, 2nd in soccer and 3rd in touch. There was also fierce competition displayed on the ping pong tables and finale dodge ball game with each UOW game being cheered on by a very enthusiastic crowd and an even more enthused gong! Overall, these results awarded WUMSS with silver position of the MSC Sports day.
Many thanks to WSU and the MSC council members for hosting the event, UOW participants and those who volunteered to umpire sports. Special thanks also goes to UOW students who sent in photos for the pre event challenges such as the human pyramid and enviable yoga poses thus gaining the team a feast of bonus points.
What a wonderful day to showcase our medical schools enthusiasm for sport and teamwork!
